The objective is to focus on the reactions of the tourism industry itself and policy makers to risk factors. Participants are expected to work on outlining diverse risk scenarios and examine how to prepare for uncertainties and . Participants should be prepared to work on and manage sudden changes.
· How does the tourism industry and policymakers deal with a sudden increase in the numbers of tourists due to changes in the external environment?
· How does the tourism industry and policymakers deal with a sudden decrease in the number of tourists as a result of economical, natural or social challenges, and thereby maintain a status as an important venue for tourists ?
· How can a marketing strategy help to avoid risks or crisis, with a view to convert a risk or crisis situation into an opportunity?
· The maintenance and security of tourist sites and avoidance of deterioration.
